Helpful Voice Acting
Sites - I have used resources from all of the sites
below
Art of
Voice Acting - Run by James
Alburger & Penny Abshire, this site has plenty of voice acting
goodness, and where you can pick up James' book, The Art of
Voice Acting
Edge
Studios -
Another good voice acting resource, you can get scripts and a good
primer on the industry from this New York and Washington D.C. based
studio
Greatvoice.com - Susan Berkely is one of the voices for "Thank You for
Using AT&T,' and runs a fine 8 week teleclass for voice acting
beginners. I am a proud "graduate"
Other Voice Acting
Resources
Many
people have asked me what I did to get into the voice acting
business. I often refer them to some of the books I have read in
order to get a good idea of what it takes, as well as some of the
equipment and tools I use. For more information on all of these
things, click to find out "How Do I Get There??"
Music Sites - as a
singer and former DJ, I just have to have music
around
Allmusic.com - A great
way to while away an hour, looking up information on all your
favorite bands. The All Music Guide is as complete as it gets, with
a Classical Music version, a Movie version, and a Games version to
boot
Opera Carolina -
Charlotte's local opera company, and oldest continuously operating
regional company in the nation. Opera won't hurt you! Check it
out.....
MusicMatch - My favorite
digital media player, with the built in music store, much like
iTunes for Macs, except it works with
other digital media players besides iPods.
